What if I cannot repay on the due date?

If you think you will not have sufficient funds in your bank account, contact us immediately to halt the direct debit. You must contact us at least two days prior to the direct debit date.

If you don’t contact us and you break your promise, the direct debit is declined by your bank resulting in a $50 failed payment fee plus a dishonour fee from your bank. Your account will then be considered overdue and you can be liable for further daily overdue fees which can total up to $270 to cover the cost of the collections process.

Deferring a direct debit payment will result in the maximum amount you can get on your next cash advance being reduced to the maximum amount of your first cash advance. You can only defer a payment once before it is considered overdue. Cash Doctors does not allow rollovers. Deferring a payment will cost $35.

If you have problems repaying during the relationship, we may reduce the amount available to you or make further cash advances unavailable. We are always careful to lend amounts which will not lead to repayment difficulty or bad credit - but we also don’t want you to borrow if you think you might struggle to repay for any reason.
